Journal of Contemporary Governance and Public Policy, with registered numbers ISSN 2722-3981 (Print) and ISSN 2722-3973 (Online), publishes periodically in April and October. The journal was first published in April 2020 by Pusat Penelitian Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora Kontemporer, Indonesia.

Journal of Contemporary Governance and Public Policy uses a new layout for full-text PDF articles starting in January 2022 (Volume 3).

Since 2022, we have established a new policy regarding the author publication fee and a waiver policy for the author(s).

Since 2022, the Journal of Contemporary Governance and Public Policy has been accredited with Sinta 2 by ARJUNA Kemendikbud-Ristek Republik Indonesia.

Since 2023, the Journal of Contemporary Governance and Public Policy has updated an article publication fee for authors.

Since 2023, the Journal of Contemporary Governance and Public Policy has been indexed by DOAJ.

Since 2024, the Journal of Contemporary Governance and Public Policy has established that citation and referencing in articles must adhere to the APA 7th edition.

Since 2024, the Journal of Contemporary Governance and Public Policy has been indexed by ASEAN Citation Index.

Since 2025, the Journal of Contemporary Governance and Public Policy has migrated from Open Journal Systems (OJS) 2 to OJS 3 and has updated its template to align with British English standards.
