    Journal of Contemporary Governance and Public Policy, with registered numbers ISSN 2722-3981 (Print) and ISSN 2722-3973 (Online), is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published biannually in April and October by Pusat Penelitian Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora Kontemporer, Indonesia. It is devoted to advancing scholarly dialogue while offering practical insights into the evolving fields of governance and public policy. The journal provides a platform for academics, practitioners, policymakers, and civil society actors to critically engage with governance dynamics at local, national, and global levels.

    Governance and public policy involve complex interactions among institutions, regulatory frameworks, and societal actors working collectively to achieve public objectives. The journal welcomes research that critically examines the political, administrative, legal, and social dimensions of governance, including—but not limited to—policy design and implementation, institutional reform, participatory governance, transparency, accountability, and digital transformation in the public sector.

    Particular emphasis is placed on the perspectives, practices, and challenges emerging from the Global South, as these contexts offer distinctive and valuable insights into governance amidst rapid development, institutional instability, and limited resources. The journal aims to amplify underrepresented voices and empirical contributions from these regions, thereby enriching theoretical discourse and facilitating meaningful cross-regional knowledge exchange.

    While open to a wide range of themes within governance and public policy studies, the journal prioritises contributions that align with the principles of sustainable development, equity, and good governance—particularly those addressing specific targets of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In doing so, it aims to support the production of knowledge that is not only methodologically rigorous but also socially transformative and responsive to public needs and policy practice.

    Journal of Contemporary Local Politics, with registered number, ISSN 2830-6120 (Online), is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year in June and December by Pusat Penelitian Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora Kontemporer, Indonesia. Journal of Contemporary Local Politics aims to publish conceptual, review and research articles in the field of Local Politics Issues and promotes scholarly, theoretical, pragmatic, and contemporary research, which makes a clear conceptual and methodological contribution to existing international literature. The articles published in Journal of Contemporary Local Politics have been double blind-reviewed by peer reviewers. The decision on whether the scientific article is accepted or not in this journal will be the Editorial Board’s right based on peer reviewer's recommendation. Please read and understand the author guidelines thoroughly. Author who submits a manuscript to the editors of Journal of Contemporary Local Politics should comply with the author guidelines.
